Windows Vista: a real wound?
Windows Vista will, for sure, engraved in the history : not one computer operating system has spilled that much ink. From Microsoft’s own admission, his publisher, the system was not in tune with the time when it was sold in January 2007. The computers were not powerful enough to support a system so big . Consequently, they were slowing down and they had a lot of bugs . The incompatibility of Windows Vista with several software and peripherals (imprimantes. ..) finally ruined its popularity.
Today, things have changed. Some incompatibility problems remain, but the computers sold are more powerful. With 2 GB of RAM, Windows Vista does not slow down the machine.

Should we be afraid of Linux?Windows, Microsoft (XP, Vista , 7 ), largely dominates the stage of operating systems. Only the eternal rival Apple has managed to land an alternative universe with its Mac. However, there is another very credible operating system although not very visible: Linux. Linux is not a traditional operating system , but rather an open core source as a basis for developers. They rely on it to develop the software that they then make available to the public (or business), for free or not . Among these programs, some operating systems are beginning to make a name (we speak rather of “distributions”). We mention Ubuntu, Mandriva, Open Suse, Gentoo or Fedora. By choosing one of them , you are completely out of the Microsoft universe. First, unlike the Windows, these distributions are free (for the general public).

Then, the environment has nothing visually, but the publishers are cultivating simplicity. Finally, the software used in Windows are not compatible. But some find equivalents for Linux (not always obvious to install). Most of them are free as well .
Freedom has no price
Free software is not necessarily for free. And a software for free is not by definition a free one . In fact, these two concepts are distinct. Free software is freely available to Internet users by the publisher. But he remains master of its source code (its “recipe”) and he is the only one who can improve it and publish the modified versions. The term “free software” refers to freedom, not price. Users can run, copy, modify and distribute the software without asking permission from its creator. Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, OpenOffice.org and VLC are examples of free software known. In this case, they are also free.
Keyboard: the mystery of the M button
Some computer keyboards, including laptops, display an “M” key smaller than the other letters. Unloved, the M, but why? In fact, on U.S. keyboards (QWERTY), this button is reserved for “? “It is smaller than the other for easy retrieval.
