Bestbuy.com – as one of the largest on-line retailers – doesn't sell just computers, but all sorts of products from the consumer electronics category. You'd be surprised how many cheap and practical products are in their on-line catalog, but for now let's concentrate on Bestbuy's computer parts.

If you have pressed the previous link, then you now see the list and icons of all computer part types an average user may need for both laptop and desktop computers. Pressing the motherboards icon you'll see a list of best selling products and product packages, but this isn't for everyone. Sorting by price from low to high is usually the best way to browse in on-line stores if you're not sure what you're looking for. Users with an older computer – in which the LGA 775 motherboard has burned out – will probably buy the cheapest new motherboard available, because if performance or features would be an issue, then they would be looking to buy a complete new computer. The cheapest LGA 775 motherboard (at the time of writing) on Bestbuy.com is an MSI G31TM-P21 model with on board Intel GMA X3100 video (analog VGA port only), two DDR2 memory slots (dual channel), PCI-Express 16X slot and the LGA 775 socket, that supports all single -, dual – and quad core Intel processors that fit inside, as the front side bus can go up to 1600MHz.

As you can see, this motherboard supports both IDE and SATA storage devices, and also has old fashion PCI slots for whatever old expansion cards you may have. Users looking to put together a gaming computer will most likely go for a motherboard + CPU bundle like the best overclocking LGA 1155 pair, an ASUS P8P67DEL Delux motherboard and an Intel Core i7-2700K unlocked quad-core processor. A high-end graphics card is also a computer part that's needed in a gaming rig, so I recommend one from AMD, the Radeon 6850 with 1GB GDDR5 memory for $199.
